Is HR Jobs also hit by current crisis?

Hi,

I am starting my HR career once again after break of one and half year but seems that this sector is too affected by current crisis which is going on.
There are lesser oppurtunities nowadays and hence getting a job is becoming challenging.

To answer to your question, companies have stopped recruiting. This makes it difficult for a person who's career revolves around training and development, induction program etc.

Though, it's said that companies should spend the most training their staff during such recession times and many companies would actually be doing just that which means there's a silver lining.

One may argue that HR requirements lessen because you dont have to recruit people, but on the other hand during recession times you want to get the best out of your people and hence better HR policies and audit in place.

I am of the opinion that yes recession will hit everyone, salaries will go down but soo will prices and pressure of high standard of living etc.

Just remember one thing, if recession is hitting you, its not just you.. it will hit everyone .. which is why it shouldnt make much of a difference
