Is boarding school beneficial to children?

i think its perfectly o to send your wards to boarding school, but the question is in what age. initial shaping up in the family is as nesessary as schooling.

Yes, it gives them enough time and space to develop their skills without any boundations of families as well as the child will get the feel of competition and self dependency.

Thanks
Mohit

It is true that boarding schools provide quality of education, decipline. But there are some things only parents can teach, like values in life

i feel that boarding schools have a lot more "pluses" than we restrict ourselves to... not only is the child given freedom to develop, he builds strength of character, a streetsmartness that is essential in this cut throat world and is far more aware of the things happpening around him due to the excellent time table that they adhere to. a good boarding school education is far better than staying at home with mommy and daddy.

yes bcoz it helps them to grow individually without being much dependant on their parents and this creats the self confidence as well as the the individualism which is very much required at a different stage of life. this inculcates discipline, time boundness and other qualities like giving others a space in your life etc. so it is important

it depends on parents n kid ..at times kids need parents when they are growing up..such kids should stay with parents ..and some kids are very proactive towards any situation, they can take boarding school life in their stride..

So such kids can b sent to boarding school.

For parents who want to see their child getting education excellence, better prospect, then boarding school is a right choice. One key advantage in attending private schools is the opportunity for academic excellence. A good boarding school deepens the student's interests and commitment to learning. Private school students range from average to superior academic ability. Virtually all private boarding schools are preparatory for college. (Some private boarding schools also serve students prior to grades 9-12.) There are also Specialty Boarding Schools specifically designed to help teens that are struggling in their home, school, or community. These type of private schools offer fine emotional growth educational and character building components to go alongside a traditional boarding school educational environment.
In the typical boarding school, many of the faculty members have advanced degrees. But at these secondary school teachers are not to be confused with college professors. A private school teacher must understand the different needs, attitudes and interests of adolescents. Some private schools have programs for students with special needs. Just as important as the school's academic quality is the social education it offers. Through the boarding experience, students learn responsible behavior, citizenship, social responsibility and interaction. As well as the ability to positively interact with peers and increased ability to study and increase their learning abilities.

Boarding school is good.
-They learn to be independant
-They learn to respect relationships after staying away from their close ones.
-They learn to interact with people from diverse background and communities.
-They learn the soft skills alongwith the necessary education.
-They tend to learn all the games and sports
-More importantly they learn to participate in events and even organize them.
_They are not shy of anything.

no its not. bcoz children need parents love in those ages. so boarding school can make a distance between them

Yes i thihnk it ia absolutely beneficial to the kids... bu tonly at an appropriate age . I say this beacuse if the kids are too small they require parents nurturing and care... but after a certain age they need to be set free.. to learn on their own and fight their own situations... this helps them develop emotionally and makes them stronger human beings with a point of view of their own...

YEAH, boarding schools are very beneficial for the all round development of the kid.
i know boarding schools too have some pitfalls, but nothing is perfect in this world.
but they are betther than normal schools in ways like:-
they work for the 360degree development of the kid.
they are best teachers of descipline.
teach to handle adverse situations with ease.
have a good scope for overall development as academics and sports being kept mandatory.
kids stay away from parents, so they learn to take decisions without parents, and dont have to hold parent's hand everytime for every decision.

yeah it is coz they learn to manage themselves and conduct their life in an orderly manner they can learn alot more in a boarding school and have better groomed personalities
