Life ban for players joining ICL: BCCI
This is what BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah had to say. "Any palyer who joins ICL will not be able to play cricket neither for domestic nor international. And this applies to one and all."

So what all the cricket lovers have to sayabout this.
Is BCCI adopting a fair play policy?? OR The future of players is in the hands of BCCI as they will just be pupppets.

Knee-jerk reaction by BCCI

Its simply knee-jerk reaction by BCCI.They should have been more matured and professional in their approach & Public Relations.

Defenitely this will cause a great deal of tension & melodramas in this highly sensitive game(played by administrators Vs Players..).

no.. i feel BCCI has done just as by allowing them, any other organisation will come forward and start conducting matches n all.. that could harm the proces... though this league could give some new commers the opportunity but as BCCI hastaken strict action against it. i feel players would be reluctant to join it!!!! But Subash Chandra is adamant in his plan and is plaaning to start it by end of this year as per his previous plans!!! But the league is also having problems in getting stadiums for the matches... So its going to be tuff!!!

being a cricket fan myself all i can say is any competition is always welcome and excellent for all of us the fans .

The BCCI had become sole players in this market and minting money from Cricket which is the biggest and most passionate sport followed by millions in this country .Having a competitor in ICL ,however small they maybe at the moment, will definitely compel them to pull up their socks and get things running on better and more efficient.

And with ICL we could have the opportunity to see internation stars Like Warne ,Lara ,Mcgrath coming over here to perform which again is great news for all of us ..

so whatever it is we are the winners at the end of the day ...

its as simple as this,BCCI is currently having a monopoly on cricket and they dont wanna losse it so they are adopting all strategies they can to protect there interest.BUT THERE SHOULD BE A "LPG" POLICY FOR LIBERALISATION,PRIVATISATION AND GLOBALISATION OF INDIAN CRICKET,THROGH THESE LEAGUES.

Firstly, it's a very bad decision by BCCI.........

u knw the main thing in mind of bcci is - making money ....... not improving cricket in india.

icl comes with new cricket innovations in india for younger bloods to learn many things from senior players, thereby improvement in indian cricket..........

hats off to zee, subhash chandra, kapil dev, kiran more, etc. ..........

and d corruption all makes things worst in bcci.......... it's just money-making organisation............. not supporting players and staff........ fully selfish people r there........ here i need not to name corupted bcci people...all knows abt whom i m talking on.......

when selectors and president were met tgether to chose indian cricket team for T20 worl cup, sharad pawar supported somewht to icl aftr getting a letter from Digvijay Singh, Congress General Secretary.

"Instead of taking confrontationist stand, you should act as a facilitator for the ICL to succeed," Singh wrote to Pawar.

"I am sure the objective of the BCCI is not to make the millions but to popularise the game of cricket.

"I am sure you will prevail upon the hardliners in the Board and make them understand sentiments of millions of cricket lovers in India," Singh said in his letter.

it's just politics in bcci ...........

so i wud like to say that bcci is scared by icl's strong measures to make improvement in indian cricket and thus icl might get success and status than bcci........... :pound:

I think some one should start initiative like ICL for other sports as well. Every one is concentrating on Cricket as it is more lucrative.
