Is astrology a science?

We all are quite familiar with the science named "astrology". Now it depends on the individuals to what extent do this science(?) hold importance for them!
Or should i say does it hold any importance or not! so lets share our thoughts regarding the same and try to analyse does it really matter?
 
I don't kno whether theres really any science behind astrology..but I am not a hard listener of Astrology...I love to kno about my future and love to read about my sun-signs...though I don't fully believe them...I read them and forget...thats it!!
 
astrology is a spiritual excellence given by god through various sources .... its nothing science if its was science i dont think the scientists would have taken this time to pull the web
 
At present Astrology is science only for the people either who practice them or who are too keen to know their future ( do not care enough for the present ) , for majority of the people think that future is decided by their present, they do not want to engage themselves in the future. They think it as a medium of passing time.
 
astrologers r not sure about their predictions...they only predict about the future but they dnt give gurantee tht it will surely happen..they are not accurate ..hence it cannot be called as science..scientific laws are accurate..for eg.law of gravity.
 
No, Astrology is not a science. Astrology is very close to future telling. It is the study that assumes and attempts to interpret the influnece of heavenly bodies of human affairs whereas science is a systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.
In astrology there s no supported evidence theories.
 
As far as the definition of astrology is concerned, there is little reason for disagreement. However, the debate and dispute begins the moment astrologers start claiming that astrology is a science.
Rationalists and nonbelievers argue that heavenly bodies cannot influence human affairs. On the other hand, astrologers, particularly Vedic astrologers, start with the assumption that the systematic body of knowledge, is in fact inspired by the Supreme Being himself. Hence, this is the absolute truth and cannot be questioned. They are God's words, which were passed on through generations by oral tradition and were first documented and classified by sages like Parashar (Astrology is part of Vedas and that is why it is called Vedangas).
