Hi can anyone help me by explaining what industry verticals are and giving a few examples both of Indian and international products. i also need to do a SWOT analysis and a PESTLE analysis along with the marketing strategies and the product life cycle and the BCG matrix

A vertical market is a group of similar businesses and customers which engage in trade based on specific and specialized needs. Often, participants in a vertical market are very limited to a subset of a larger industry (a niche market).

Industry verticals :

* Healthcare
* Government
* Education
* Financial
* Food and beverage
* Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
* Real estate
* Manufacturing
* Media
* Oil and Gas
* Banking
* Energy
* Retail
* Technology
* Telecommunications
* Transportation
* Insurance

Basically you have to do almost everything.

What you are referring is equivalent to tests a doctor will perform on his patients.

You are the doctor, the SWOT etc are the tests.. what I dont understand is, who is the patient ?
