What India can Export
• India is 3rd largest beef exporter in the world behind Australia and Brazil • Exported 1.22 million tonnes of beef in 2011 • In 2012 it is expected to rise to 1.52 million tonnes by 25% • But still it is not exporting Beef to Indonesia which is predominantly Muslim • Indonesia is currently importing beef from countries like Australia & New Zealand • They have banned importing beef from countries like India & Brazil because of Foot & Mouth Diseases present in these countries

What India can Export
• Now Brazil and India have launched nationwide vaccination program • Last year Indonesia faced shortfall of 20% • Indonesia wants to diversify the options, hence opening their market for new entrants • Brazil ambassadors convinced the Indonesian government to eliminate few states rather than whole country
