Indian Accounting Basics

Hi Everybody,

I am an ERP consultant from Romania and we want to implement Oracle eBS Indian Localization for our new Indian branch. Our problem is that the tax structure is quite different from the one we use in my country.

Can somebody help me in understanding how the taxes are used, especially sales taxes, VAT, duties applied to the items.
