India need to concentrate hockey?

Hockey is the national game of india. but very strange news no one encourage this game. Day by Day the games getting far away.. Please save our hockey team and hockey

I feel the great push can be done when our govt can fianance these games and bring popular people together to make it more attarctive
 
I feel that the players are very well concentrating in their Game. If there is any lacuna, its in optimum funds. How many ads do you remember on our Hockey players ??? ....
 
Its more of a question - India need to diversify its interest to other games too than being concentrating only on cricket.Hockey also falls in the to-do list.Also games like Boxing,Shooting should also fare.We have proved that we can win golds in Olympics.Its time to accelerate those games and establish our presence in the global arena.The push we are giving for cricket must also be given for other games.It also requires pull from the audience side.A game's sucess depends on the audience reception.So I feel the mindset of the Indian audiences should change first.Adding to it, hockey is also our national game.

Definitely, as it our natinal game. The importance of every sport should be treated equally. This is tough task, as the sutra in our recent culture is where there is more glamour, sponsership, you will find more incling towards the individual fame rather concentrating on sports.

Commercialisation of sports to the extent was welcomed, but always there is limit for everything.

As we are performing good in hockey, and the politics involved in it, hope not disturb the spirit of sports.
 
I think the hockey association is not aggressive, because being national game of India they are facing lack of funds and they cannot raise funds for the game from the sports authority.
