Inauguration of Vihaan' 2011

BIMTECH on 27/August/2011 inaugurated its first ever Inter B-school fest Vihaan' 2011 in presence of students from all the prestigious B-schools of the country, faculty and senior guests from the corporate world.This is a two day Inter B-School fest in which students from all the prestigious B-Schools of India are participating by contributing their talent.

The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour for the event respectively were Dr. Alok Bharadwaj, Sr. V.P. Canon India Pvt Ltd and Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, CEO Micromax Informatics Ltd, who enlightened the event with their words of wisdom. The ceremony started sharp 10.30 am in the college seminar hall where everyone present enthusiastically applauded the initiative taken by the college to get the best brains of the nation show their variety of talent and compete under the same roof.

There was a welcome address by Dr.H Chaturvedi, director of BIMTECH. He explained the meaning and concept of 'Vihaan' as it is a sanskrit word meaning, the dawn. Vihaan symbolizes the aspirations of Indian youth and its dreams about rise of India as superpower of community of nations. Inspired from the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sahdev towards our freedom struggle in past, today India is looking for its second freedom from corruption and dependency on west for its needs.

In his speech the Guest of Honour, Mr. Rajesh Agarwal shared his life experiences when foundation of Micromax was being laid. In his electrifying address he talked about innovation and emphasised on teamwork for being successful.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Alok Bharadwaj gave a very enlightening speech about the values of change youth needs to inculcate in himself. He talked about the three 'V'(s) of success namely, Variety in work, Volume of inovations and Velocity with which the youth moves ahead. He emphasised on the need of inculcating elasticity in our personalities to be successful in the dynamic world. He also talked about globalization of opportunities and competition. He shared the four 'E'(s) of technology namely, Enormous life experience, Efficiency of tasks, Empowerment of self and Edge over others. He shared some of the motivational values and dynamism youth needs to inculcate to take the nation ahead of our global counterparts.

At the end of the event the guests were presented with momentoes as a token of our gratitude towards them and a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Anupam Verma, Deputy Director, BIMTECH.
