1. How would you describe yourself and your institute?
IIM A is one of the most revered institutes. Somehow all the things which one read about this place combined come rushing back when you enter this place for the first time. Combine it with the impressive architecture and it seems imposing and you feel awed by the place. But soon you accept this place as a part of your life (and by this I don’t mean just two years which you spend at campus) and feeling of awe is replaced by feeling of love and respect for the institute. And WIMWI is not just about academics. There is lot more to it- fun, friends, party, events, sports everything.
2. What are the events at IIM-A? According to you which is the most happening and why?
The events at IIM A are- Insight (Marketing Fair), Chaos- Cultural festival and Confluence- Annual international business school summit.
Insight is the first event which a PGP 1students witness at the campus. What makes it special is that it is not limited to b school or other college students. It is an important event in the calendar of people of Ahmedabad. But it doesn’t dilute the focus of marketing enthusiasts who are involved with it. Lots of innovative market research methodologies are developed during this 2 day fest.
3. Was IIM-A your dream MBA Institute? What efforts/plans did you have in your mind to achieve it?
Yes, IIM A is the ultimate dream institute for each and every student who appears for CAT and same was the case with me. The preparation was at aggregate level instead of focusing at any particular institute.
4. Would you like to share few tips to crack CAT and GDPI aspirants who also see IIM-A as their dream Institute?
Take Mock CAT regularly and seriously. Afterwards analyze it thoroughly. It gives you a clear idea that where you lack in your preparation and then pay special attention to that part. Similarly with GD, there is no substitute for practice. Give Mock PI so that you are mentally well prepared for the D Day. And at the end, be calm and give it your best shot.
5. How would you, as an MBA bring about a change in management practices and thoughts over time?
A) The knowledge and skills acquired as an MBA would help me be a better manager and change certain management practices which might be very old and lost relevance to the modern context

HUL. The leading FMCG Company in India is a dream for all marketing enthusiasts. The kind of job responsibilities and the experience across all divisions/locations prepares one in the best possible way for a leadership role in future.
7. What do you feel about the management education in India and abroad? Do you feel there lies the difference if yes then in what ways?
There is a focus on work-experience of candidates abroad. One has a fair idea of he/she needs to do in such cases. There is no clear division between candidates with and without work experience in India. All of them are at the same level here. There is a marked difference in the way one thinks about his/her career once they start working when compared to when studying. This should reflect upon in the way the candidates are chosen.
