“IIMK enters into a unique tie-up with JRG Securities”
“Kozhikode, September 10, 2010: In a landmark corporate-academia tie-up, the first of its type across all IIMs, premier brokerage house “Inditrade” promoted by JRG securities Ltd has entered into a unique engagement with the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. The firm has tied up with the students' Finance Interest Group at the Institute, Financially Yours, and engaged forty post-graduate management students at the institute to perform equity research for the company. Few of these analysts (the five best) will also be provided with an opportunity to perform trading at the bourses for the company. The collaboration will enhance the students' understanding about the financial performance of various companies across sectors in the industry and provide a hands-on experience of 'share trading for brokerage firms'. The students at IIMK have lauded this tie-up and have expressed hope that this opportunity would open new avenues of collaboration with the brokerage firm.
Mr. Sudheer YVV, an alumnus of IIM Kozhikode is presently working with JRG Securities Ltd. as Sr. Manager – Corporate Development & Strategy. He has played a key role in identifying the students' interests in the Securities Market area and has offered such projects that would enhance the their understanding of the same in the live environment”. Also, the Placements Committee of IIMK which had an important role to play in laying the foundations of this collaboration with JRG Securities has expressed hope that this is the beginning of a long and strong relationship between the institute and the organisation.
