
INSIGHT has emerged as a solution provider for corporates through innovative Marketing Research conducted in a fair called "Great Ahmedabad Mela" drawing huge local audience. It also features a wide range of events that test the mettle of top B-School brains, and seminars by eminent speakers which dissect the latest developments in marketing. It is the only festival of IIM-Ahmedabad and only the fifth in the country to acquire ISO Certification ISO 9001:2008 certified. Insight draws a footfall of over 8000 local fair audience and over 3000 B-school students from across the country in just 2 days.
The Great Ahmedabad Mela is a festival that is open to anyone and everyone and it celebrates the essence of the word ‘Marketing’ in its truest form. With events, games and competitions happening across the campus, this Mela is meant for people of all genres. It captures the interest of Amdavadis in a unique manner as citizens from all walks of life participate in the Mela.
The conclave will have events across all marketing genres, right from disguised market research during the event to executing projects for corporate clients. These corporate projects involve a run up to the event in the form of the clients releasing the project proposals and then selecting among the teas who submit their entries. The project team then designs interesting games which discreetly capture consumer responses to provide an insight into the factors that matter in making any decision.
The event will also feature workshops from established firms such as Lowe Lintas, Social Beat and IPSOS and speaker sessions from stalwarts of the marketing industry. According to Chendur Kumaran, event secretary for INSIGHT 2014, these workshops and speaker sessions are highly sought after by local as well as visiting students and puts the students in direct touch with leaders of the industry. Coupled with the hands-on marketing projects and competitions, these two days of the festival are extremely valuable to any marketing enthusiast. Along with events some cultural activities such as a Gazal concert and classical dances will be conducted in the evenings.
