IIMA Announces International Case Masters 2011
As part of its yearlong Golden Jubilee celebrations, IIMA is organizing an international level case writing contest - International Case Masters (ICM). The objective of this competition is to promote the study of changing global management practices through original case entries. The institute has long been a centre of excellence for research on current management issues and the theme of “Change” for ICM reflects the same. Ankush Chugh, the coordinator for this event said “ICM aims to bring together academicians from across the globe to discuss the latest management issues. Befitting the occasion of IIMA's golden jubilee, the competition has been planned on a grand scale and will take forward the case pedagogy followed at the institute.” The event is expected to receive entries from students and faculty members across the world. The last date for registration of this competition is 20th February 2011 and the last date for submitting case entries is 25th March 2011.
The distinguished judging panel will comprise of academicians from renowned global B Schools such as MIT Sloan, Chicago Booth, Katz, NUS, IIMA and many more. After the judging process is over, a one day conference would be held at IIM-A campus in July which would facilitate interaction between judges, the winners and the participants via panel discussions and presentations. Additionally, guests will be treated to a number of social functions which would serve as unique platforms to develop new connections and foster lasting bonds within the management community.
The overall winner will be awarded a cash prize of $3000. The best case in each category will be awarded a cash prize of $1000 (a total of $7000). The best cases will be added to the IIM-Ahmedabad case repository and will be published in ECCH. Abstracts of the best cases will be published in "Vikalpa", a quarterly publication widely read in academia and industry worldwide and included in the EBSCO database.
