The marathon was organized by IIM Indore, in collaboration with Punjab National Bank and State Bank of Indore. The event started at 7 from SGSITS grounds in the presence of Mr. Anil Bhan from Punjab National Bank, Prof. N. Ravichandran - the IIM Indore director, various other dignitaries and members of the national media.

A major feature of the race was the fact that it had people of all ages and varied backgrounds running shoulder-to-shoulder to promote the cause of a Greener Indore. In today’s era of global warming and increased industrialization leading to pollution, it becomes imperative to create awareness amongst the people about the need for conserving the environment. The wonderful turnout at the event proves that the citizens of Indore are fully committed to creating a greener future.
