IIHMR University Organises Alumni Meet - Maitreya 2015[/b]
Over 200 Alumni Reunite at IIHMR Campus
Jaipur, 2nd October, 2015: India's globally recognised and leading healthcare research institutions, IIHMR University, today organised alumni meet 'Maitreya 2015' at its Jaipur campus. Over 200 alumni overwhelmingly participated to this reunite event and memorised their enchanting days while they were studying at IIHMR University. The event was inaugurated by Dr. SD Gupta, President of IIHMR University and Dr. Ashok Kaushik, Dean - Academic and Student Affairs by lighting the lamp.
The programme was kicked-off with a very interesting panel discussion on 'Gandhian Perspective on Healthcare followed by special workshops on Road Safety and Injury and Healthcare Governance. In the noon session alumni were also indulged in fun games, ramp walk and DJ party which resembled them in their past student life. Every alumnus were feeling blessed while they had a great career path because of their value creation by IIHMR University and its faculties.

Since last 31 years, our vision of contributing in the Indian healthcare sector and helping in increasing the standards of healthcare is being fulfilled by our alumni at different levels and regions."
IIHMR University's alumni are well placed in central and state governments and corporates in healthcare sector. Organisations like NRHM, GVK EMRI, Thumbay Hospitals, Wockhardt Hospital, Sun Pharma, Manipal Hospitals, Fortis Hospitals, Delloitte, Columbia Asia Hospital and many more have recruited IIHMR University's students as healthcare management professionals.

Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) was established with a fundamental purpose of creating new knowledge and developing alternate modes of improving healthcare to management research, education and training in India and other parts of the world. The Institute has significantly contributed to the areas of health research management in the country and in South-East Asia Region. It has established a new paradigm of management of capacity development among healthcare professionals at the national, state and district levels in the areas of leadership, strategic management, and quality assurance in health care. Under the Society of Indian Institute of Health Management Research, the IIHMR group has created four campuses all over India. We proudly announce that IIHMR, Jaipur has now expanded into the IIHMR University. The IIHMR University will be the first of its kind Research University in the State of Rajasthan with an exclusive focus on management research, education and training in the health and related sectors. The primary focus of the University is on Research and Post-graduate Education.
With the establishment of IIHMR, Jaipur as the IIHMR University, the AICTE approved Post-graduate Courses offered at the Institute will be offered as MBA programs in the related disciplines. Besides these MBA programs, the University also plans to introduce doctoral programs. In this endeavor, the University introduced the first Ph.D. in Hospital and Health Management in February 2014. The IIHMR, Delhi and Bangalore campuses will offer the courses at its present status as AICTE approved post-graduate programs.
