iFEEL launches its 2 year full time PGDM in Banking and Financial Services approved by AICTE
Mumbai June 6, 2012: The Institute for Future Education and Entrepreneurship (iFEEL) has launched an AICTE approved 2 year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management- Banking and Financial Services, in line with the increasing demand for skilled professionals specializing in this sector. With an intake capacity of 60 students and an Academic Board comprising senior professionals from the Bank of India Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Union Bank of India and the Central Bank of India, the course will give prospective managers the right amount of industry exposure and hands on skills required as decision makers in this highly competitive sector.
Explaining the need for a BFSI specialized PDGM degree, Dr. H.S Cheema, Dean iFEEL explains,” Creating employable graduates with the right skill sets required for a particular sector has become very important today. With management institutes producing droves of fresh talent all over the country, corporates are looking for individuals who have an understanding of the sector they will be practicing in and the capability to better grasp the implications of any market development. This is especially important in the financial sector, given today’s market volatility. “
Despite a slow economy, the $ 4.4 billion BFSI sector emerged as the biggest recruiter across management institutes in India in 2012, thus showcasing the growing need for skilled professionals in this area and the opportunities available to BFSI specialized Post Graduates.
With a carefully designed curriculum and course structure that lays an equal emphasis to corporate exposure, the PGDM BFSI course will hone the student skill sets to enable them relate developments taking place in international financial market to Indian Banking Services and provide innovative, informed solutions to specific issues that are faced by the industry.
