If corruption is legalised?

hmm...well if corruption is legalised every one for every job in this country sets a predetermined price tag, which is legalised corrupt money to be paid above the actual price, and no arguments and no negotiations would take place. If you want your work to be done one can see the corruption price prevailing...and based on that who ever bids the lowest corruption price wold do the work......thts nice than not knowning at all whether the price we are paying as a 'below the table' money is far too high to get the work done.

But here lies the actual story...those who are so much so used to the system would now say....legalised 'below the table' money thek hai....pur "MERAA money ka kitna dogey?".

So there is no end to the extent of corruption. Thus legalisation of it is not the answer.

In my opinion, corruption should never be legalised because if once that is done, then the bribed money would become a part of the fees and again the whole vicious circle of under the table money would come up..Surely, some ways of minimising the corruption should be taken into account...

1. A timeline can be set by the Govt. for each and every work, every license to be issued. If a work is not done within a pre-defined time frame, an enquiry on the concerned officials should be set, and this enquiry should not be any "namesake" one, but in true sense.

2. The question is why people ask for "under the table" money ?
- they do so because they think that the amount given to them as their salary is not sufficient or upto the standards. So, first of all a competitive pay scale should be established . Eg is NTPC, which is consistently ranked by business magazines as one of the Best places to work.

Likewise, there can be other solutions also.

well...first of all i must apperciate that someone though about corruption here....i feel that corruption exist because of lack of proper legal system in the country...y do we offer a bribe if a sarkari babu is nt doing what he is supposed to do..y dnt we take the leagal route....so as to brought punishemnt to him.
since legal system in the country is nt perofimg, that is why we have the corruption and like practices being followed...now wat if we legalise corruption, i think this is being used in context of bribes, it is just a form of corruption.now if we legalise bribes, they become fees. and that defeats the very purpose, becuase bribe is something that we pay over and above what is required by law...if bribes are legalised that means there will be rates prescribed for various tasks, and that again leads us to the same situation becuase we already have the fees and all described by various laws applicable. so that is not a sloution on the other hand it will add to the floor rates as demanded now....

great picture...but dont u think if goverment spends more time on stoping corruption from occouring will prove more fruitful than to think on leagalizing it...well gr8 imagination but something should always be done behind close doors:)

The problem is that it is a human tendency to have more and more. When we were kids,we asked our parents eg. I want this...(toys) or whatever...I want that.....Our parents used to make us work hard and finally give it to us..After getting that particular thing we wanted even more.As we have all learned our demands goes on increasing..There is no stop to that. same way if we give the expected salary, after a year their demands will increase.I feel that corruption cannot be eradicated but minimised by the following ways you mentioned but the 2nd point,i do not agree.

accordin to me if corruption is legalised, the same type of situation which is goin on 2day will come up. places for corruption will be set. people who accept bribes will be gives license. and corruption will be held like auction. more u bribe the better quality of work u will get. moreover rich will become richer and poor will become poorer.
so i personally think dat corruption shud never be legalised

leaglising corruption would be something like now the product would not sold in grey market but in open market since now it would be having brand name (identification) attached to it.

hi
if corruption is legalised that act will itself be illegal. but than also if it is legalised i sure earth than everybody will be opting for govt jobs and course. but one thing is i am sure this place will be hell!!!

i think its completely useless idea.it will ruin the whole country.there wont be any sincere work done and all what people will do is crave for money and not do any work..

Good Topic to Discuss...
In my opinion its totaly nonsence and ridiculous to make it legal..Well if bribe should be legalised then every other bad activity should be legalised...Let the people extort the money from rich and distribute among the poor just like Robinhood...Let there b Capital Punishment for the criminals,Let the Robber give the excuse that since he is poor and cannot affor le robbed some one.. if today is question abt the bribe then slowly it will give rise to another problem....
i Still remember once my Professor tild me that "In our Economy, todays solution is tomorrows problem"..

legalising corruption is impossible no such government wud do this and if it is legalised it will affect us and might hamper the nation's economy growth

Its almost legalized, we see corruption pervading in almost all sections and compartments of the society and jurisdiction

Actually nobody is serious about rooting out corruption. Everyone just pays lip service. I've seen many people who curse the corrupt people all the time but will not hesitate to bribe if their work gets done this way

If corruption will be legalized that mean everyone has the right to rob anybody who is less powerful or sitting down in the system. Yes it will surely increase the amount of black money far more than it is today in bank accounts of other countries and we will be in the new age of our nation.
