well m in my 3rd sem of BMS n i m supposed to make a project in management accounting on the topic " export oriented units"...now i gotta present the basic defination n theory alongwith a practical firms example with respect to management accounting...its realli difficult for me to find all this.....do u have any idea on any EOU in mumbai.....kindly help
 
Well!! have u decided this project by ur self or Professor has given.. please change your topic. If you can. If not then first Identify What are export oriented unit through google.com. If u are able to find right units, then tell me

chck out EXIM notes n projects section.. use EOU notes out thr.. as far as accountin aspect is concernd.. plz explain in detail as wht exactly u want..
 
hey thanx for all ur replies.....actually this topic has been given by the professor so i dont think i can change it....ill check the EXIM section too....i have got the theoritical matter......now what exactly my professor wants me to do it visit a firm which is EOU....prepare a questionnaire n explain its books of accounts (balance sheet etc....which m so damn sure noones gonna reveal so ill have to make a fake one) but then there r very few EOU's....does anyone know any such firm in mumbai?

ne firm tht u finalise.....chck out thier annual report... ( directors report ) for balance sheet n cash flow n etc ... ill chck if ne firms thr in mum or nt..

100% EOUs fall into 3 categories
(a) EOUs established anywhere in India and exporting 100% products except certain fixed percentage of sales in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) as may be permissible under the Policy.

(b) Units in Free Trade Zones in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and exporting 100% of their products.

(c) EOUs set up in Software Technology Parks (STPs) and Electronic Hardware Technology Parks (EHTPs) of India for development of Software & Electronic Hardware.
