Employees:-

The company has around 60 employees working for it currently; of which, 50 employees are on permanent basis, while the remaining are hired on temporary basis and are paid a daily wage.

Qualification:-
No specific educational qualification is required for the employees, but the main criteria here is that the employee should be literate i.e. he should know how to read and write. Also an employee with a good amount of work experience in the printing industry is given more preference.

Hiring Policy:-
The attrition rate in the printing press industry is very high these days. To avoid this problem the company has come up with a smart hiring policy, i.e., it hires an employee on temporary basis for a period of 30 days. Then if the company likes his/her performance he/ she are made a permanent employee.

Salaries of workers range between Rs.5, 000 – Rs.20, 000. The salaries vary according to the expertise of the employee.
Also, the company does no deductions in the employee’s wages if they remain absent or take any kind of leave, for a genuine reason.
Bonuses from time to time are also provided. E.g. Diwali bonus, etc

Insurance:-
No insurance is provided to the workers. Provident fund is also not provided.

Employees working in the factory are not registered under the ESIC scheme.

Training Programmes:-
Star Enterprise does not provide any special training programmes to the employees, but if any new machinery is installed than the employees are trained suitably; so that they can handle the machine efficiently and without any accidents.
