Company Profile ? Infosys Limited is an Indian global technology services company and it has headquarter in Bangalore ? Infosys is ranked 27 in the Fortune India 500 list of 2011 ? Infosys and its subsidiaries have 155,629 employees as on Dec 31, 2012 ? Infosys provides technology, engineering and outsourcing services as well as business consulting to help clients in over 30 countries

Motivation for the Project
• The Infosys Global Education Centre in Mysore called the "Taj Mahal of training centres" by Fortune magazine (2006) Infosys wins American Society for Training & Development award (2010,2004) Infosys spends around Rs.1600 crores annually for training and development No technical interview during recruitment for a technical Job. Just a CAT like exam and HR interview to gauge candidate’s ability to learn Recruits people from non-I.T./Computer Science backgrounds also. So much confidence in their training What is so special about Infosys’s training ? Why Infosys puts so much emphasis on training ? Is it effective?

Objectives of Training and Development
1. Improving performance of employees through developing the competencies 2. Provide the employees opportunity to grow within the organization so that its future needs for human resource can be met from within 3. Reduce the learning time for employees starting in new jobs on appointment, transfer or promotion and also ensuring that they become fully competent as quickly and economically as possible
