how united are we ?

what does unity means. I personally feel that Indians get united only when there is crisis, but in our day to day life we are not that united although some people will claim that "crisis is the true test of unity"; but I differ, if we would have been united then the "son of soil" issue rose by a party in Maharashtra would not have arose.

if we would have been united, then the first seed of separation among us wouldn't be sown in us from the schools (especially government) on the basis of reservation. The worst thing with us is that we are not practical.

we just see what we want to see and not the actual pictures, honestly,if we analyze we all are biased on one or other criteria (cast / language / religion / region...etc).unity should not come only in time of distress rather in our day to day life.when every people from every box of life should feel included and not secluded.

Yes we are still united in any condition, it should not be good to judge our unity on the basis of some issues like Gujarat riots or Babri Masjid Case. These events were shameful for all Indians and left bad impact on our pride and culture. Sometimes media negative publicity work as a fuel in fire in these kind of events.
