How To Deal With High Oil Prices

As conventional sources are becoming rare, oil price rise is definite. But we have also take care of energy sources for which some preventive action are to be taken,

1. Use bicycles for small distance run.

2. Use solar energy by adopting solar cell, solar heater etc,

3. Use buses, railways whenever possible so that rs and oil invest also decreased per people, .

4. Switch off light at sleeping so that electrical energy production is less during night.

5. Use good capacity vehicle and less polluting.

6. Behave like this and tell to the others for improvement.

rather than just thinking about the alternatives will not serve the purpose but we should also introspect the root causes for the increasing oil prices

Its just that consumption is increased and production is less which tends to higher price. We can control the price only if we get an alternative to it.

Use of public transport is the easiest thing to do so improvements should be made in the capacities ans services of public buses, trains, high speed trains etc. The problem with metro cities is that the distance between work place and home are too long to cover on foot or bicycle. Taking bicycles for travelling short distances is a fun and eco-friendly way to save oil. If one has to take a vehicle, a car pool sort of thing can be done.
Even though the transport component of oil consumption decreases, the manufacturing insutries using oil cannot afford to do so. Research about alternative eco-friendly fuels should be taken on a large scale. Use of wind energy, solar energy, tidal energy etc. should be promoted to the maximum by the government and the people.

Public transport system should be developed and improved to quality standards in all cities to encourage travel by these modes. The buses, trains and other mass transit systems should use eco-friendly fuels and should be upgrade d in their capacity to carry more people. Most distances in metro cities are too long to walk but whenever possible, walking and cycling should be preferred. If one has to drive a private vehicle at all, maximum utilization should be made by way to car pools.
Although oil consumption in transport could be decreased by choosing alternate modes, the same cannot be done for manufacturing industries which use most part of the oil production. For these, alternate energy systems like solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy etc. could be explored. The government should encourage research in such projects.

I totally agree with you Monika. Public transport should be developed in such a way that people can take 100% benefit. Public transport will reduce the oil consumption as well people can travel in cheaper rate. Public transport is a good alternative than each individual having their own vehicle.
