I feel the question of luck being important or not, differs from individuals to individuals. If u belive in karma and spirituality then luck factor is indeed very important. But for me I hardwork is of atmost imporatance. Luck does matter; buts its only 10% of the story.Luck is not an important aspect for me.
But all said and done, people shouldn't have the mindset that everything around will sail through or come handy just because of luck.

luck matters...
once vinod kambli was said to be a better player than sachin...
though his misbehaviour being the reason i term it as his bad luck...
today e can see where sachin is and where vinod is..

Still contemplating whether its luck or sheer hard work that gets things going your way but at times I believe both need to go hand in hand.

LUCK IS IMPORTANT TO AN EXTENT......IF TWO EQUALLY ABLE GUYS WERE TO COMPETE AND WIN, LUCK WOULD HAVE PLAYED.....BUT NOT IN CASE OF TWO UNEQUALYY ABLED GUYS

Yea Luck is very important to suceed - only being at the right time at the right place is very important

yes i do think luck is important but the most important fact is that a human being is creater is his own luck.

Luck plays an imp role. Hard work is the necessity whereas luck is the catalyst for growth.

Luck may help you in winning a lottery, but for securing a job, luck is not enough. You require skills and the right attitude.
 
very important. Luck plays a major role. a friend of mine got thru one of the campus placements just by marking all the answers as C whereas a lot of other ppl who deserved to get thru didnot make it thru coz the ppr was very long

Luck is immensely important ...it always was...luck is nothing but being at the right place at the right time...
there are many people with great talent, but they never succeed coz of their luck as they never come across right people or be at the right time..or should i say they always miss the bus...but still, hard work does go a long way...for success, i feel we need 90 % hardwork, and 10% luck.
 
People who say that luck is important usually agree with the notion that given the same amount of hard work, someone with better luck accomplish something more easily compared to someone born with less luck. Therefore we can conclude that luck is the probability to earn success for each attempt to earn it.
 
It depends on whether or not you believe in luck, karma, etc.
If you do, it probably does seem like an important aspect. It affects almost everything you do!
As for me, I don't necessarily believe in luck, so I don't know. I mean, if I can get good luck, sure, that'd be nice. But I just think the way to get good things to happen to you is to work for them. It seems unlikely that you'll get everything handed to you just because you have "good luck".
