Our belief at Fuqua that every student deserves meaningful work shapes how we teach, how we build community, and how we support students through the job search and beyond. As assistant dean for Daytime MBA career services, I have the privilege of seeing the impact Fuqua graduates make across industries and around the world. The 2024–2025 Daytime MBA Employment Report reflects that impact. It also highlights the Class of 2025’s resilience, adaptability, and talent. I’m proud to share the outcomes of this year’s class and the story they tell about Fuqua’s approach to career preparation.
Fuqua’s diversity is a strength that shines through in the wide range of career paths our graduates pursue. The Class of 2025 accepted roles across consulting, finance, technology, health care, and many other industries. They brought their unique talents to organizations around the world, showing that Fuqua graduates are prepared for roles across sectors and regions.
After a spike in the previous two years, consulting hiring returned to more typical levels. It remains the top industry for graduates with top employers including Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, Bain & Company, and McKinsey.
Meanwhile, technology re-emerged as a growth industry for Duke. Amazon again hired a large group of Fuqua graduates. Apple, Intuit, Meta, Microsoft and Dell continued to hire from Fuqua to support their growth, and smaller technology companies drew more Fuqua interest. Graduates are stepping into roles in product management, strategy, and operations at leading employers and innovative startups. These outcomes reflect how well Fuqua prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of a digital economy.
Geographically, our graduates are fairly balanced across North America, with the Northeast U.S. region being the most popular destination for the Class of 2025. Our global reach is also evident in the growing number of graduates building careers in Latin America. This trend highlights regional opportunity, the adaptability of Fuqua MBAs, and the global nature of our student body.
For many students, the MBA represents a chance to pivot, step into a new industry, function, or region, and redefine what their career can be. Behind every statistic in the employment report are people who are taking bold steps to transform their careers, families, and futures. While job offers and salaries are important outcomes, the true measure of career success at Fuqua goes much deeper.
Our Career Management Center (CMC) helps students translate their diverse experiences into meaningful new opportunities and long-term growth. Through leadership development, experiential learning, and career programming at Fuqua, graduates build resilience and skills that last, preparing them not just for their first post-MBA role but for sustained career success.
As the job search evolves, technology now allows employers to source vast pools of applicants beyond traditional campus recruiting. This shift increases competition for each role, making differentiation essential. Our CMC equips students with best-in-class strategies to secure opportunities aligned with their goals and values, and, most importantly, teaches them how to stand out and build relationships.
The strongest predictor of job search success remains one’s ability to gain advocates. It has been rewarding to see how connections between students and those advocates have flourished, thanks in part to strong alumni connections and the support of their peers. The job search can be isolating, but our team consistently sees how students stand together through the process, rather than in competition.
We also recognize the unique challenges international students face in today’s job market. Fuqua provides tailored resources and advocacy to help students navigate visa and sponsorship complexities. Global talent deserves global opportunities, and every student should feel supported every step of the way. Our international students enrich the Fuqua community, and we are proud to learn and grow together.
The 2025 employment results are possible because of the incredible support system behind every student. Each year, our MBA students compete at the highest level in the job market. This year was no different. I am extremely proud of our 2025 graduates and confident in what they will continue to accomplish throughout their careers.
