Poverty removal from India couldn't be done in a single shot - in a single month or year - it would take long time - through empowerment of public - through education, and yes, allocation and utilization of funds in a proper, accountable way. It cannot be done by the government alone - because now the population of our country has grown to an unmanageable level. There couldn't be a single, central solution to it. It would require participation from all - even those who are not affected by it. Not that a new law or floating new poverty tackling organizations need to be floated - existing ones - laws, as well as organization (Govt, NGO etc) are enough for it. Only thing needed is a will from all of us to work for it - to come forward to empower people - even if it means teaching a kid around who cannot to school. Help people -even if it means helping them to get some work done without bribes, or without payments to middlemen. Probably this could be one of the way to grow - slowly - into a more aware, and yes a rich one too, nation.
