HIRE SLOW FIRE FAST - THE MANTRA ADOPTED TO AVOID MISTAKES
Hiring and firing do rhyme each other; but when we think of them they are opposite in their meaning. Dealing with both the terms seems to be easy but it is difficult actually. Employing people is damn tough. There is a case where in an employer employees and engineer and this employment seem to be imperfect. But he seems to be productive and smart, in his project and other related activities, he seems to be completing his project, and it also seemed to be logical. But he never used to achieve his target, and the set milestones, the work load was increasing. Hence he was fired thus the moral being fire fast.
Another story, which relates to hiring, is about a person interviewing three people. It’s a story of a recruiter wherein on demanding for resume; he gets top three resumes and scans them and call each for interviewing; he interviews them although the problem of shortage of time exists; from his busy schedule even though on tour he intervenes them individually and even after interviewing and getting known to them; he waits for reference checks of each; this is what is known is hiring slow. He hired an individual three months later the interview and reference checks. Although the individual selected was qualified and skilled, but lacked skills to work remote.
