I WANTED TO KNOW THAT IN PREPARATION OF LIST OF SUCCESFUL CANDIDATES DO THEY GIVE SOME WEIGHTAGE TO MARKS OBTAINED IN CAT PAPER? OR IS IT ONLY LIMITED TO GETTING A CALL FROM GOOD B-SCHOOL .

The marks obtained in CAT paper hold nearly 70% weightage. Rest 20% from GD and 10% from interviews.

this is the general trend, but some B schools also keep some %age for work ex, acads and co-curricular
 
as far as i knw d first call is on d basis of ur percentile. den ur academic performance throughout, work ex, co-curriculum, GD, PI... all account 4 ur admit.
one of my seniors had a 99.8 percentile n was rejected by IIM-A after d PI sayin that his academics throughout schooling was nt up 2 d mark! interesting n frustrating 2!!!
 
As far as I know, the marks you get are only good enough to get you a GD/PI call from the IIM's. Whatever you actually do in the GD/PI takes you to the next level (or not)!

Apart from the IIM's, all the colleges that accept the CAT scores certainly do give weightage to the percentile gained in the CAT.

I would suggest that you forget about your scores as soon as you get a call and just concentrate on your GD/PI. Best of Luck!

as much being my knowledge only cbse score class 12th result is being important no other detail is much require just by mistake may be by iim
but the person who get 99.8 % cat deserve iim -a seat
