Iftar Night Bazar Walk

The IIM Ahmedabad Heritage Club brings to you an unforgettable experience in the form of the Iftar Night Bazar Walk on the 15th of July which is the 27th day of Ramzan when the Eid festivities begin. The Walk promises to let you experience a part of Ahmedabad life that you will cherish for the rest of your life. For the food enthusiast, the Walk takes you to the Bhatiyar Gali Food Bazar near Teen Darwaja, the Fruit Market at Manek Chowk and near Danapeeth. This will be followed by Iftar at the historical Jama Masjid where you get to witness the ceremony of opening the Ramzan fast. The feeling of sharing food is an element of the Ramzan that one must experience. After prayer at the Jama masjid, the Walk promises to take you through the lanes and by lanes of Dhalgarwad, the biggest cloth market in Ahmedabad where you can enjoy shopping, continue relishing the food on offer at the food stalls of Bhatiyar Gali and Manek Chowk or enjoy the scenes of people getting into the festival mood.

The Heritage Walk is an event that you wouldn't want to miss as you go home with a piece of Ahmedabad history and culture in your hearts. It also promises powerful images of camaraderie and festivities that you will cherish for a lifetime. The walk starts from the premises of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Building, near Khamasa Cross Road, Danapeeth, at 5.30 PM. Since a lot of places are to be covered before Iftar, people interested to join are requested to be on time. People can also directly join the Walk for Iftar if they are unable to make it to the starting point. For details, please contact Komali (7043021391).
