10:00 – 11:00 The rise of the humans: How to outsmart the digital deluge
Dave Coplin, Microsoft
You will gain an insight into the rapid growth of our digital world and how it has
brought huge advantages – access to information anywhere, at any time, and the
ability to communicate with colleagues, family and friends around the globe in real
time. You will receive an explanation into how the devices in our hands connect us
like never before, but vie for our attention to the point where they are beginning
to disconnect us from the real world. It also gives an insight into seeing the digital
deluge as an incredible opportunity rather than viewing it as a problem.
11:20 – 15:15 How to create and manage a successful career
Dave Harrison, 10Eighty
A workshop aimed at making you more energised, motivated, confident and in
control of your own career. It will provide you with tools and techniques that will
enable you to create and manage a successful career for yourself. Increase your
awareness of the choices and options open to you. Identify the values and
motivations that are important to you in your life. Identify the skills and
competencies you need and enjoy, as well as those you need to develop.
Understand how people achieve career success. You will be able to develop
written career goals, together with ideas on how to achieve them and how to
maintain ongoing momentum.
15:30 – 16:30 Teams and personality
Norbert Morawetz
You will gain an insight of how your personality helps you make better decisions
and you will be able to understand how to develop team work skills and improve
core employability skills. You will also gain an insight of how your personality
facilitates social integration, therefore allowing you to understand the importance
