Help reqd for Managing people and their attitudes

Can anyone give me information regarding how to manage people and their attitudes?...I am planning to do a project on this very topic....n i need some help....My basic intention is to explore the ways in which one can utilize an individual's attitude and get the best out of him...thus also adding to the organization's progress....Please any help in this direction will be appreciated....

If you think of people as inventory , they will be difficult to manage.

If you treat them as human beings who wish to learn and grow with your company, then you wouldnt be asking this question
