HDFC Bank launched an exclusive e-banking product for the companies in Startup Village, a Kochi based business incubator. The highlights of product are:

• A digital current account opening system and credit card
• A customized business transaction card bearing the stamp of Startup Village brand
• What a bang on idea, I must say! The US based Silicon Valley startupshave an easy access to smart entrepreneurial support products. However back home in India, entrepreneurs have to spend their valuable time on mundane administrative activities such as opening a bank account. It takes number of meeting with a bank representative, tedious paperwork and multiple followups before the account gets active. Now just imagine if you could save all this time by simply filling up an online form to open a bank account. As easy as that! HDFC Bank has taken a step in this direction, let’s hope other banks and financial institution soon follow the suit.
