Harvard Business School's New Executive Education Program will help companies develop new strategies for effective negotiation
Mumbai: Harvard Business School (HBS) will host a new executive education program this year, Negotiations and Dealmaking-India, from September 28 - October 1, 2015 at the HBS style classroom, Taj Land's End, Mumbai. This dynamic program will expand and refine negotiation skills and develop effective strategies that get results-whether to close a routine sale or inking a high-stakes deal.
"To drive the strategy forward and create value for the firm, employees must be able to negotiate effectively in a wide range of business situations. That takes more than the power of personality and much more than good intuition. Negotiators also need to assess the situation accurately, think strategically, have a plan for overcoming obstacles, and be prepared to adapt to changing conditions." Said Prof Deepak Malhotra, Eli Goldston Professor of Business Administration, Harvard Business School.
This program is ideal for senior executives, managers, or seasoned individual contributors from any industry who participate in negotiations as part of their role and want to improve their ability to negotiate effectively and close deals more efficiently and profitably.

"This fast-paced program will enhance entrepreneurs' ability to make successful deals for their companies, resolve disputes, build stronger relationships, and lead more effectively in a variety of business situations. Participants will reflect on their past dealmaking experiences, engage in negotiation simulations, receive feedback on their performance, and explore new strategies. Case studies will provide further insight into negotiation best practices and how participants can put their improved skills to work in deals, disputes, and difficult situations" said Prof Francesca Gino, Professor of Business Administration, Harvard business School.
As with all HBS Executive Education programs, the India portfolio is taught by distinguished HBS faculty using the renowned HBS case-study method. Faculty lectures, interactive exercises, and diagnostic assessment tools create a dynamic learning environment. The program aims to build long-lasting relationships via the professional network that is created through close interaction with an elite group of Indian and global peers.
