good economics=good politics??

A good economic policy can deliver benefits to the nation in the long run, but could also mean bad politics, as majority with the vested interests would feel offended in the near term and there are political consequences that need to be borne.
What do you guys think?? Is good economics = good politics or bad politics ???
 
"Good economics serves efficiency and fairness. Good politics serves the survival of the incumbent government."

But sometimes good economics may not necessary point to bad politics. Good economics can also go side by side with good politics, and vice versa...
 
It is difficult to relate economics with politics.
a good economic policy may either be advantageous to common man or it can be taken advantage of in wrong manner by politicians.
there is no simple relation between the two.
