Good Compensation, A good Boss or a Challenging job...?

Well, a challanging job is obviously the first one, but then pay should be supporting the challanges too - i.e. compensation should justify the amount/complexity of work being done. Good boss too is helpful, but having only a good boss - with other two factor abseent - does mean nothing.

This, job satisfaction is kinda weighted average of these 3 factors - the individual coefficients/relative weights (always non-zero) keep on changing - sometime you prefer challanging work as having the highest priority - money rules at other times.

Well compensation is directly proportional to job. More challenging it is, better will be the compensation.

Thus, I'll prefer a G:):)D B:)SS because if your boss is good to you than you'll be satisfied doing your job and keep him happy. If your boss grills you left & right all day than no use of having a challenging job n compensation. At the end of the day what matters is self satisfaction.

A good boss will grant you +ve appraisals watching your performance & efficiency and thus delegate a more challenging job (or say promotion) and raise your salary accordingly.
*** Not a bad deal. What say :) ***

Most of us want everything at a time...isn't it...but i bet that this is not the scenario always...infact life is the most playful event...it certainly doesn't provide you with all the wants and needs of life... if u had only ONE option to choose what would be that...if u say MONEY... remember that money cant buy the satisfaction and appreciation which u will get otherwise....

Hi,

Good Job always hold priority as good Job will provide you skills that will make you a critical asset for the company/JOB marked hence Good compensation will follow automatically.

Once you are critical your Boss will take care of you, you need not to worry aboout him.

How can you say that your boss will take care of you. Bosses mostly take credit of your good work. So whats the use to work so hard when @ the end someone else takes its credit.
However if your boss is good remaining things will follow - better job(challenging or may be you can ask your boos for a work in your area of interest) followed by better compensation.

actually doing my MBA in u.k ,i need sample assignment of strategy in challenging business environment

I believe that challenging work is important. But good compensation goes a long way when one considers that compensation is made up of more than tangible assets but also things such a good work life benefits.

everyone wants the combination of all 3! not getting one is usually the reason people change their jobs!...
