Advances in transportation and telecommunications infrastructure, including the rise of the telegraph and its posterity the Internet, are major factors in globalization, generating further interdependence of economic and cultural activities.

i think globalisation is boon for our economy. we can check the track records of our economy.... it is growing just because of globalization....
and as we all know no 1 can work(business) alone, we all need co-operation from others to get our work done!!
 
its definitely a boon...coz encourages development and can u ever think ur life widout coke,pepsi,even bisleri or microsoft....
nd the world is in better peace jst as it is turning to be a global village..
 
its boon for india .. as .. crisis in coutries like us , china , pakisan .. has let the demand shift to INDIA .... so india is gaining .. but i dont know why .. people r saying it recession ... ITS BOON !!!
 
India is in the process of restructuring her economy, with aspirations of elevating herself from her present desolate position in the world, the need to speed up her economic development is even more imperative. The positive role that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has played in the rapid economic growth India has embarked on an ambitious plan to emulate the successes of her neighbors to the east and is trying to sell herself as a safe and profitable destination for FDI.hence according to me Gobalisation is a boon to the indian economy
 
globalisation makes the whole world, one countyr...
i.e we can knw each other's traditions, customs, rules n regulations, ease of trade(without any or very less regulations)...
we can knw one's needs, preferences, etc. which they arent able to get fr their own country, we can export them...and can earn good foreign currency....in exchange we will be importing fr them if we r lackin in surplus....
thus standard of living increase....:)claps
 
Albeit LPG lifted up INDIA to a greater height,they cause certain adverse effect on our local communities.they are unable to market up their products by competing with the global giants.so to my point its 50:50.
 
it is a definite boon.donno how many new opportunies come across n donnow how many threats for the existing players. but what so ever,i gives competition to relaxed business man, giving rise to enterpreneurship. so who wouldnt want a better product at a lower cost. so, definitely a boon

this is an really an boon
They provide adequate market for products
though it provides market , it provide employment and ways of development of the country
there are some disadvantages
1.Poorer countries suffering disadvantages: ie the countries which are poorer becomes poor and countries which are rich becomes more rich. small and poor countries mostly have the agriculture as the main exports and this due to globalization (EU) lowers the price of the crops
2.The shift to outsourcing: The low cost of offshore workers have enticed corporations to buy goods and services from foreign countries. The laid off manufacturing sector workers are forced into the service sector where wages and benefits are low, but turnover is high.

globalisation is the best way for a developing economy. it lifts up economy performance thr' new jobs, more jobs, improves quality of life, brings in new products ..... i do agree that the other face of globalisation is exploitation of resources, but it cannot be denied that the quantum of growth that it brings is huge...
