Global Warming

Global warming cannot be avoided since it is being caused due to certain activities of human beings which cannot be curbed.. only the process or the rate at which it is speeding up can be reduced only and only if collective effotrs are taken by the whole world.

global warming cannot be avoided as long as co2 is in the atmosphere, but we can control it to certain extend. it is fancy term coined by west to impose it on east. co2 is part of atmosphere and has an important role to play, we cann't just "eliminate" co2 of its' task. only thing which suits here is "balance" .

i really appreciate mr Ramkumar who have initiated dis topic, coz its a matter of an individual problem but of a global concern....
i know global warming is inevitable but we should do smthg 2 slowen d process
indeed its a collective activity but even an individual on a personal level can make a lot of diference lyk-
1) usin CFL lights instd of incandescent bulb.U kno it consumes very less power ( 11 watts) as comp 2 incand bulb (60 watts). so by dis way ull save bth ur money n r planet.
2) saving power on appliances, wen nt in use shud b put off
3) keepin AC at 24 deg celcius, v can save an average of 300 kgs of co2 per yr from 1 ac......
4) usin water efficiently ( as water systems req a lot of energy 2 purify n distribute h2o to households)
v can really make a difference by doin r bit. Also v shud try 2 make r frnds aware of d situations. I kno its not dat easy coz ppl hardly care. But its r responsibility 2 atleast make an effort.

It is a matter of difference of interest not difference of opinion. West is acting irresponsible , and developing countries are just following .

Basic Information about Concentrations of CO2 in Air

* 1,000,000 ppm of a gas = 100 % concentration of the gas, and 10,000 ppm of a gas in air = a 1% concentration.
* At 1% concentration of carbon dioxide CO2 (10,000 parts per million or ppm) and under continuous exposure at that level, such as in an auditorium filled with occupants and poor fresh air ventilation, some occupants are likely to feel drowsy.
* The concentration of carbon dioxide must be over about 2%(20,000 ppm) before most people are aware of its presence unless the odor of an associated material (auto exhaust or fermenting yeast, for instance) is present at lower concentrations.
* Above 2%, carbon dioxide may cause a feeling of heaviness in the chest and/or more frequent and deeper respirations.
* If exposure continues at that level for several hours, minimal "acidosis" (an acid condition of the blood) may occur but more frequently is absent.

yes we can stop it..we can easily stop by reducing our pollution.......by doing various prcautions....believe me we can prevent the global warming

well i agree with the satatement that something needs to be done right now.....otherwise it vl be over future genrations who vl pay the price of our ignorance.....

one thing we can do to control global warming is to plant as many trees as we can.. other than this, reduce the use of non veg food and also the consumption of fuel... if even 1000 people do this for one day a week, it will be a great help in reducing the global warming....

Increased co2 emmission and other polluting gases increased the average temperature of earth surface temperature. This causes the change in climate to unfreezing of Arctic sea Ice and could result in deadly consequences to all coastal cities of the world.

Decrease co2 emmission by going for better machines and vehicles.
Alternative fuel that emmit less co2, Go for solar power, wind power, comperessed gas engines.
