Hi all..

This was the first GD being taken on Sunday, 29th Jan'06 @ 15:00.
It was really not a satisfactory one..
People were moving out of the topic & then coming back in..
Its fair on first part, but then too it all continued..
It was seen that during the conclusion, people were placing their own belief.. in conclusion of a GD, the panel expects the candidate to sum up the GD & not give their own belief, people should avoid the same..
If they are asked to give their views then they should declare the same..
The results are purposely not declared as I think the above lines could give in the results to the people..

Hope to see more & more people for the next GD.. & with good response & ideas.

Hi all..

I had purposely not given the results.. as you can read above.. the GD wasnt upto the expectations...

Then too on demand.. I hereby give all you some points for the same..

The GD should always concentrate on the topic.. people should not go out of it.. (like in this GD where people vivered from the topic )..

In the topic there was concentration on the roads.. but the candidates forgot --> buildings (not covered properly), highways connected, trains, the beaches & other aspects...
Infrastructure covers a great many aspects, its not necessary that it should only be roads.
People were bringing in the topic of Bhaiya's (not meant to harm to any community) coming in Mumbai & then bringing in the population, which was not proper...

There should be proper concentration on the topic itself & we should not diveate from the same..

I think there were enough guideliness given & also there are so many articles being posted to give a rough idea about the GD's & also the enviornment it has..
People are requested to go again by the same & also if there is any kinds of doubts please do post it in here & that will be solved...

Now, if anyone has some points to add in, then they can continue the Discussion in this thread

I think so Gd was mostly offtopic, but there was certain points covered which were related like Shangai, BKC etc......
There are many other points which can be covered like
1. The Vashi airport talks are still going on from last 2 years.
2. No place for airbus A380 to land In Indian Airport.
3. Very less and bad airports, No proper Renovation is there.
4. Mumbai's shipping port has very less capacity compared to any other in the world.

Some of the negative points in the Gd were
There is no relation between up Bhaiyas and Mumbai's Infrastructure.
Population is not the reason for bad infrastructure, look At Texas the Highest population city with very good Infrastructure
 
ok...even i do accept the fact that Mumbais current infrastructure do no meet international level...or ( one can or i should only say that...it dosnt meet national comaprison also..c Delhi) but ..guys.... Mumbai has got huge projects for the development of infrastructure...for a city whose resources are stretched to the limit and where civic amenities are fast degenerating, there appears to be a glimmer of hope in future.... huge plans r laid down.

A trans-harbour link between the island city and the suburb of New Bombay, a pan-island expressway that would skirt the city and provide a dedicated track for long-distance traffic, airport redevelopment, and expansion and development of the suburban rail network as well as the mass rapid transport system, are among the infrastructure projects planned by the Bombay Chamber of Commerce.

Metro Rail works are on... Western and Central Railways are increasing train frequencies on regular basis.. Interconnecting links bet Western, harbour and Central are under thoughts.. so guys.. i think...we should wait for the time being and not criticise mumbai's current situation with respect to Infrastructure atleast.

Mumbai can defenitely become Shangai n wil b soon lik tht. rightly said.. abt Dharavi also by sum1.. its developin rapidly... so i am not Against Mumbai's infrastructure.
