i remember having read a story in my hindi book at primary school. the story was named "Priyatam" and it was about narad muni wanting to know who is the biggest devotee of vishnu other than him. So vishnu tells him to take a complete circle around the Earth and when he comes back, he asks him that how many times did he chant his (vishnu's) name.

Narad muni replies.. none as he was too engrossed in the work assigned to him. Later Lord vishnu shows him a farmer who would chant his name twice everyday, without fail and hence was his prime devotee. This is exactly the thing. We would always take the lord's name when we are in pain but fail to acknowledge him when we are happy.

ofcourse I do beleive in God!!!! but i beleive in 1 more thing very strongly, tht is "time" makes us do a lotta stuff. I always feel situation makes us do things....There are a lot of times when we know what we are doing is wrong, yet we can't help, but do it. So I feel situation does drive us all at some point.

Yesterday nite when I was standing at the balcony a thought came to my mind. I recalled my 1st day of work, that very day i knew this thing would end, and I will thinking at is past, n look it happened. My 1st day at rizvi, I thought 3 yrs!!! and with no time now i am in my last year. The thing i want to say is, "nothin is permanent". Everything will come to an end. So I look at myself walkin through this long lane, where both sides are full of adventures and i stay there watch it for sometime or be a part of it n then again start walking. I feel the end of this lane is DEATH and the lane itself is LIFE. Its shows us everything as we walk.....

YES TIME PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE IN OUR LIFE...........I TOO BELIEVE IT STRONGLY.
SOMETIMES WE DO THOSE THINGS WHICH WE NEVER WANT TO DO.....HAV U EVER TRIED TO THINK WAT FORCES US TO DO THT?.....OUR ELDERS SAY ITS OUR KARMA........ITS THE RESULT OF WAT WE DID IN OUR LAST BIRTH......WELL I RESPECT THR OPINIONS BUT DO NOT COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THEM.
WAT I THINK.........WAT WE DO IS THE RESULT OF OUR THOUGHTS...........OUR THOUGHTS CREATE SITUATION.......WE CONSCIOUSLY OR UNCONSCIOUSLY IMAGINE ,DESIRES .FEELINGS WHICH WE WANT TO FEEL.......SO WE,OUR SOULS WITH THE HELP OF GOD CREATE THOSE CONDITIONS WHR WE CAN FEEL THOSE FEELINGS.

SO TIME MAY COME WHR WE WILL CRY...........BUT DEEP INSIDE WE WILL REALISE THT RATHER THAN HAVING GRIEF WE R FEELING RELAX.

ITS A PART OF OUR GROWTH PROCESS.
 
Its been over two weeks since i've made an entry in my thread....

Well, its good that we've drifted the channel of thoughts from God to time.... bcoz this is the next thing, no one ever finds....

Sometimes, i wonder, how hard is it to find time? Are we really that busy that we can't send messages to our friends once in a time or maybe just scrap them back, asking for their well being.

For the people who are too ignorant or too lazy, this is a common pretext... But is it the reality... Everyone, u, me or even the buzier of the buziest live for only 24 hrs in a day. If they can manage so many people, contacts, their lives, business and so on and so forth, i don't think there is anything that should stop us from saying that occassional "hi" or just stop by for a couple of minutes to call an old friend.

Why does it happen that we get isolated? Why does it happen that eventually the memories fade away bcoz we never had time? and then when, decades later, u see an old family frame or spot ur friend in a class picnic, u realise that it has been so long that u called him/her that u may not even have his/her contact number.

I think this is something we need to realise before it becomes too late.

Today i witnessed some unique.... which we don't generally see everyday. I was at the bank, making some payments. Unfortunately, i couldn't find my pen, although i make it a habit to carry one when i go out. So i had to request an elderly gentleman besides me to give his. I took some easy 5-10 mins to fill the forms and when i finished, i turned around to see that this elderly gentleman is waiting without any impatience, for his pen.

Generally what happens is, that we get so impatient, that we would bring our hands closer to the person, as if ready to snatch the pen right from his hand. But this guy or i should say, this person was comfortably waiting for me to finish what i was doing.

All of us have a fast lives. How much do we care for the other person? How many times, have u had the gratitude to give a lift to someone who waved at u or bother anything other than earning ur livelihood.

These are somethings, which sometimes fill my mind. Where exactly are we? Today, i read an article in the 'Article's section' called 'racing against life' (The link would be http://www.managementparadise.com/forums/t5428-racing-against-life.html)

It describes the similiar fact. We get so engrossed in our lives that we seldom have time to think beyond us, our lives... We do read the morning paper... get briefed on what's happening, but how many of us think about it? We can gather all the facts we need, prepare very well for CAT and the subsequent stages, but before a manager, we're human beings and human beings need to think... Think about others, think what's happening in our society, our social sins... Agreed, we all have fast life, agreed we have less time, but sometimes, it is necessary to give time for all this too.

I am here after a long time, N i was actually sarching for your thread, n it ws on the 2nd page!!! Whats this, now you see how we make this thread most hit thread ;) .

ANyways now 2 the topic.....The experience u sed above is so very true, people have lost paitence big time. I will give u a v simple example. When I come back home from colg, my bus stop is on Carter Rd. As everyone knows its 1 of the most beautiful places in Mumbai, yet if the bus is even 10 mins late, people start gettin restless!!! I mean wts the harm in waiting there, enjoying the calmness of the sea!!!!

And about being human beings, I thing I would definately like to share here. Everyday i travel by train, when u cross Mahim next stn in Bandra we cross MITHI river. The 1st day I had seen I had thought it ws some big NALA!!! My frnd told me its a river, and beleive me everyday whenever I pass that place I feel so sorry, for the condition of the river,ofcourse for nature but more for us human beings!!!! I mean what have we done to things we have got, prcious things we are ruining like this......

I have decided, if ever I become BIG in life, 1 thing I will definately do is help clean the river. I always feel had it bein clean, it would be a majour tourist spot, beautiful n nice.....I hope I can fulfil my dream!!!!! :(

Man is constantly hounded by questions, which he can't answer, at times. At times, you are on on the top of the world... You feel that the world is your oyster, and then at the next moment, you are at the rock bottom, totally devasted, shattered beyond myth. The transition is accompanied by tremendous mental and physical trauma. You are being shot at by questions, whose answers you don't know. Pressure trains circle your mind like a whirlpool constantly trying to sweep you off you normal mental balance and it is possible that you reach a stage of partial or total madness.

So what does one do about it. There are numerous situations we face such mind-boggling, life threatening circumstances, whether it be work-related, relationships, or health. No one knows what is going to happen next !! How do normal human beings cope up with this problem? We go through so much mental agony, that we are unable to maintain a decent mindset and tackle these problems.

Some people try to just run away from them... and leave the situation on to fate, hoping that some answer might come into picture. But, the fact is, it is not just about the answer. It is about the mind, which brings the answers. Until it is in actual working condition, you can't natually think of any solutions. So turning hostile towards your friends, showing off or rather throwing off tantrums is pretty common.

Say a person who has just been fired from him job, or a guy who has been dumped by his girlfriend (or vice versa) or a person who is suffering from some or the other health problem, is just so much hammered, that either he takes up vandalism or becomes a threat to his/her ex.

Even I am going through one such problem in the current days, and i gave a lot of thought to it, talked to a couple of my friends. I realised that there is something which we tend to forget during this hour of crisis.... which is DESTINY

I know there would be many non-believers here, but I truely believe that there is some power, above all of us, which controls what we go through in our normal life cycle. There is this power which decides what we must achieve or lose.

I believe that everything happens for a reason and that power decides that for us. No one can be stronger than our own destiny. Almost all of us believe in God here. We chant his name, day-in and day-out, talk of so many mythological stories displaying his prowess, but do we really trust him or accept his decisions at these times of crisis. Everyone would happily do that when we get some gift, but, at the same time, everyone of us starts to complain the moment some difficult time is upon us.

Why do we forget that HE is still there with us, even when everyone has left?

People may come and people will go, but HE shall be the 'one' who shall always be there, the one who controls us, our actions, the guiding force amongst us... the one which we call 'Destiny'

Easier said than done! It is these testing times, which actually show how much we believe in God, or our destiny or how much are we ready to accept our fate. I have seen so many people, even some of the age of my parents, who have gone through so much, that they have stopped believing in God, altogether. They might chant his name the whole day, yet their belief isn't firm.

I am no saint, or a preacher. I just write what I feel and my belief is so strong, that it knows, that this is just a tough time for me and soon it would be over for something still better in life. However, what do these tough times teach is rather important.

They teach us to hold our beliefs strong. They teach us to believe in HIM without a doubt. They teach us to be strong during calamity and just believe in him.... The 'Almighty'. They teach us that the ultimate thing that stands out is 'DESTINY' and nothing is greater than that.

If something is meant for you, you shall have it in the end... Have faith, believe in your destiny!

There are millions of mortal humans, and countless living beings.

Ofcourse there is a omnipresent power that created it all. But then who created the creator ?

What came first, the egg or the chiken . There are some things in life that have no clear answer and our only retreat is to believe.

Believe that there is some power which will help you sail through.

But there is no such thing as destiny for destiny leads us to nowhere but expectations unfulfilled.

The hidden fact is that you have to work to achieve something, but at the end what you receive is what destiny gives u.

Why does it happen that you work so hard, yet you fail.... or when you haven't worked much, yet u achieve things u never expected to get..... That my friend is destiny!!

The hidden fact is that destiny is just something made up over the years. Just like Santa .

Embrace the fact that if you want to drink water from a bottle of bisleri, you need to grab that bottle, open the cap and glup it down.

Destiny is only a dream that we want to see with open eyes.

Agreed !! But then there are some people who believe in Santa and some don't. So it is upto you to believe it or not. There are people who believe in God even though they dun have any physical evidence. The same is the case with destiny.

But what if you are not able to open the bottle or you spill the water while opening the bottle. If something is not meant to be yours, you just can't have it. Call it fate... Call it destiny, but it is something beyond which human actions can't succeed.

Not really dude...... we all try our best to perform in whatever task we have at hand. Yet, if destiny holds something else for us, then, the result shall not be in our favour.

The bottom line.... Destiny holds the key to success, however, action is necessary.

Then you just need to work harder .

Bottom line : Leaving things on destiny is for weaklings. Be a man, believe in yourself, trust yourself , face consequences of your acts and stop whining about destiny :p
