FUTURE PLANNINGS –
After launching DNA in Mumbai, the Diligent Media is planning to launch DNA in Pune, Bangalore and Madras; then would come back to Mumbai with Dainik Bhaskar in Hindi and many more editions in different languages.
RECOMMENDATIONS –
• The time lap between the promotion and final launching of DNA was too long. Meanwhile the other players like Hindustan Times and Mumbai Mirror who were about to launch their newspaper after DNA has already launched their paper. If DNA might have taken prior decision to launch the paper as planned, that is without any delay it might have conquer more market share then what it had gain now, which has been trapped by other players.
• Their must have been a perfect planning for the permissions of both Phase 1 and Phase 2, that is the planning must be so perfect that the date of visiting the societies in Phase 1 and Phase 2 should have been decided well in advance, which would help the permission committee to get the permission for both phases at the same time. Thus would help DNA to restrict the problems regarding permissions in various societies.
• While booking the order, MRE’s used to drop vendor copy and readers copy at subscribers house. Since it was the job of vendor to collect that vendor copy from the subscribers. But due to some or the other reason this work was not carried on smoothly, hence MRE’s were told to go back to those subscribers and collect the vendor copy.
Meanwhile many subscribers loose their copy, few lost their interest in subscribing the paper, hence many orders were cancelled due to some reason. If at the initial stage of order booking the MRE’s might had collected the vendor copy along with vendor instruction copy and office copy the orders would not have been cancelled. Thus would help DNA in executing the exact number of orders which had been booked.
