I totally agree with the concept of free education to the poor in a country like India.
Lets not confuse free Education with the much maligned "Quota Sysytem" which advocates guranteed berths in Higher Education & Jobs irrespective of individual merit..!! which is a complete mockery..!!
By free education i mean, complete or subsidised eduaction in economic backward regions of India, opening up of all kinds of different schools, Collages & Universities in Medical, Law, Agriculture etc. This gives them the platform to prove their merit & integrate with India.
Just imagine a rural India full of educated youths & its potential, which is dormant till now & the way it can shape the history of these backward regions & in the long run they will be less of a burden on economic susutainable INDIA.
I feel free education will go a long way, cause in the long run you educate these poor people & make them stand on their own feet & free them from economic salvation, rather them keeping them slave to subsidised free meals & ignorence which lets them eat away our tax collections, which will effect us all.
