Mervyn Davies, Britain's previous trade minister, will be named delegate director of Russian big shot Mikhail Fridman's LetterOne Group on Friday, Sky News wrote about Thursday, refering to a source.
Davies, a previous administrator and CEO of Standard Chartered Plc (STAN.L), will be accused of making "blue-chip corporate administration benchmarks" at LetterOne, Sky cited an individual near to the firm as saying, without distinguishing them.
The arrangement couldn't promptly be affirmed by Reuters. The firm did not instantly react to an email looking for input.
LetterOne is attempting to offer its North Sea oil and gas fields, bowing to British dangers to repudiate the advantages' licenses unless the Russian magnate surrenders possession.
