Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi is organizing “FMCG Weekend 2011” as a part of “Confluence – The Idea Series”, that provides a platform for the exchange of ideas between the best business minds of India.

We’re a nation of tough customers but easy consumers – we can’t be sold to, but we’ll buy most readily. It’s no surprise, then, that the FMCG sector is one of the most profitable and fastest growing across all divisions and demographics. What is so special about this sector? What do the FMCG Giants do differently? What makes their numbers grow ever continually?

What inspires such ceaseless innovation and such vast variety in their offered portfolios?

At FMCG Week 2011, we attempt to demystify this consumer-driven sector, focussing on the visibly significant and the seemingly insignificant aspects of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods.
