Indian School of Business (ISB),Hyderabad

The Centre for Executive Education at the Indian School of Business offers a large range of executive education programmes for senior management. Launched in 2001 the Centre for Executive education has conducted more than 200 programmes, educating over 5300 professionals from almost 1600 corporations across India and abroad.

The CEE has evolved into a world class educational institution through the amalgamation of expertise and knowledge of business leaders and world class faculty. The rich ISB experience includes programmes that share the most current research based knowledge, interactions with leaders of industry, and participation with peers.

The CEE offers programmes developed with these trends in mind:

The growing impact of global forces and emerging markets on the world of business
The increasing number of Indian organisations entering the global marketplace
The interest of many global organisations in emerging markets

PROGRAMMES

The CEE primarily offers three types of programmes designed for senior executives with a high potential for leadership. Faculty drawn from leading business schools teach in all the programmes. They are, without exception, experts in their field, with rich consulting and teaching experience.

Open Enrolment Programmes - These are intense programmes that involve research based knowledge sharing in management subjects such as finance, marketing, strategy, leadership, and others. They are global, contemporary, and relevant to senior executives and entrepreneurs from all industry sectors, and offer cutting edge knowledge that is applicable to emerging economies. They are typically of a short duration and usually run for three to five days. The CEE has also introduced specialised programmes for nascent industries such as Sports, Fashion, Hospitality Services, etc.

General Management Programmes - These are high profile programmes for top management executives and for executives transitioning into general management roles after successfully heading different functions or departments. Participants gain a deep understanding of management principles that govern the organisation as a single, complete, entity. In particular, they develop the ability to manage complex business situations, especially the art of making decisions in uncertain or ambiguous environments. The programmes often include a one week stint in a leading school such as Kellogg. These programmes usually run for two to three weeks and sometimes allow for interaction with international executives of the participating B-school.

Custom Designed Programmes - The CEE designs special programmes for large organisations to address specific issues faced by them.

CEE has enhanced its repertoire of programmes to include the following:

Funded Programmes: Individuals and organisations can create a legacy by fuelling thought and initiating action. A few pioneers have done so with the CEE by funding programmes on themes that are core to the organisation. Some of the funded programmes are the Venture Capitalist Development Programme, Global Growth Entrepreneurship Programme, and the Executive Programme in Private Equity.

Inside India - This unique programme is for executives from global organisations who plan to enter Indian markets or are exploring business opportunities in India. It includes an interesting combination of industry, social ,and political interactions and provides a hands on experience of the complexities of the Indian business scene, along with an appreciation of emerging market environments.

Certificate Programmes - The CEE works with companies to develop and deliver programmes for specific roles in the organisation. This is developed in tandem with the Human Resources department and includes individual learning sessions, faculty sessions from the ISB through video conferencing, and other e-learning methods. The ISB awards a Certificate of Competence to the employee/s upon successful completion.

Learning and Development Strategy - CEE actively supports organisations that want to align their Learning and Development strategy to the organisations' current and future strategies. This would provide insights to companies planning to expand their inhouse learning centres into corporate universities. CEE experts provide academic and organisational guidance throughout the expansion process.

Collaborative Research - The CEE partners with companies to conduct research or develop case studies on areas of strategic interest. This combines faculty expertise and industry experience to generate current and relevant knowledge that is immediately applicable.

Expert Talks Series - The CEE invites leading faculty experts to deliver short and intense knowledge sessions on current industry issues and latest research findings. Companies often sign up for a series of Expert Talks on different management subjects for employee groups and maximise the benefit for the organisation.

Technology Assisted Learning - The CEE is in the process of designing new, technology assisted learning opportunities that will deliver the classroom experience right up to your desktop, benefiting a large number of employees. Video conferencing, e-based learning, and various other new methods will be used to provide a real time learning experience.

By offering a wide range of opportunities, and by engaging well-accomplished faculty, the CEE makes contemporary global management education accessible to everyone looking for high quality and value.
