About European University

European University (EU) is one of the world's top business schools recognized for the excellence of its students and faculty. Over the past 30 years, EU has developed a business education that delivers high quality teaching, a competitive learning environment and a network of several campuses in different countries. This broad network encourages students to participate in inter-campus exchanges in the following countries: Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, UK, Kazakhstan, Syria, Singapore, China and The Philippines. EU offers the traditional programs of Bachelor and Master of Business Administration (BBA & MBA), and also the possibility to specialize in 10 different fields of management education as for example Communication and Public Relations, Information Systems Management, Wealth Management and Finance-Banking & Corporate Finance. The first goal of EU is to bring the American education model to Europe by relating classroom theory to professional skills. The courses are taught in English using the case study method to prevent business theory from remaining abstract and incomprehensible. The second goal of EU is to internationalize its programs by providing a unique environment. An international perspective is guaranteed by the composition of the faculty and student body

Our Mission

Committed to adding value to the community by providing an international business education of a demanding quality.

Choosing a University is one of the most challenging decisions you will face in your life. EU offers you a quality education and also helps you develop the skills needed to survive in the 21st century.

EU, founded in 1973, provides a quality education to students from all over the world. The cornerstone of our educational philosophy is the recognition of the distinction between the younger student still deciding on a career and the adult student who has established personal and professional goals. We know that education for executives must harmonize with full personal and professional lives.

In a dynamic age when career paths need to be flexible, open-ended and responsive to changes, our primary purpose is to prepare students to become competent, responsible practitioners of management and related professions. We focus on practical realities of managerial life with emphasis on wise and effective management. We differ from traditional business schools in three ways; Firstly, the faculty has extensive business experience and instructors are actively engaged in business life. Secondly, each of our programs provides detailed insight into the practical aspects of its specialty. Thirdly, our distinctive case studies give students practical experience in solving real problems.

All managerial decisions are potentially momentous. We are deeply concerned with the process of managerial decision-making and recognize that managers are required to solve problems that have no obvious or easy answers. For this reason, we teach our students to approach managerial decision-making with a full awareness of the positive and negative features of each alternative. We also believe that running a business in a highly ethical and honest manner is not only correct, but the only way to compete in today’s demanding world. This belief is reflected in the University’s strict standards of academic honesty, to which all students must adhere.

Why should you attend European University ?

Student-oriented Education: Education at EU is student-oriented and flexible providing personalized attention to each of our students’ needs.

Small class sizes of 20 to 25 students encourage interactive discussions and ensure quick feedback between students and faculty.

Pragmatic approach to business theory: we employ the case method as it is indisputably the most effective academic tool to demonstrate the applications of business theory.

Regular student evaluation and assessment: mid-term and final exams as well as weekly assignments in terms of individual and team projects, papers and presentations allow professors to closely supervise each student and advise them on their progress.

Transfer opportunities: the broad network of EU campuses and the agreements of cooperation with some of the leading business schools in the world allow EU students to easily transfer between countries and continents. An example of a typical transfer: a student can start his/her studies in Geneva, then move to Munich and finish them in Barcelona.

Outstanding faculty: in addition to excellent academic credentials, our professors possess experience as entrepreneurs, consultants and business leaders, which brings business practice closer to the classroom. Moreover, they employ modern interactive teaching methodology which ensures the students’ involvement in the learning process.

Sound communication skills: 100% of our students speak at least 2 languages, 70% speak 3 or more languages. Moreover, EU further refines their communication, presentation and leadership skills.

Modern facilities and location in some of Europe’s most attractive cities.

International and cosmopolitan spirit: student body and faculty from more than 70 nationalities.

Excellent employment record: in addition to the job and internship fairs organized annually on campus and the regular emailing of relevant job openings, EU’s Career Services office provides personalized counseling and assistance to each of our students. This results in quick and excellent job placements for EU’s graduates.
Constant innovation: our professors regularly update EU’s curriculum so that it reflects the latest issues and developments in business. Moreover, students attend innovative seminars on creativity that further develop their strong analytical and communication skills.

Developing business personality: through traditional as well as innovative business programs, EU prepares students for success in the global marketplace. It provides them with keen analytical skills, broad cultural sensitivity, multilingual skills and clear strategic vision.

Re: European University Course on Accelerated Bachelor of Business Administration (AB

Accelerated Bachelor of Business Administration (ABBA)

Introduction

The Accelerated Bachelor of Business Administration (ABBA) is designed especially for middle and higher management of companies. The purpose of the ABBA is to provide adults with five or more years of management experience at a corporate level, with the possibility of obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration, and to prepare these adults for graduate studies.

Many of today’s managers are people who began their career directly after high school or with a few years of college. Due to their high professional caliber, they reached management positions that normally would require higher educational qualifications.

The Accelerated BBA program recognizes the fact that these managers have a significant amount of experience and therefore, have learned many of the aspects of the business from practical experience.

Consequently, the ABBA concentrates on the most important fields of the BBA and excludes those parts of the curriculum that we believe are not applicable after years of management experience.

Course Objectives

The ABBA delivers classes taught in English that lead to a Bachelor of Business Administration and prepares the student for entry into the graduate programs of European University. The courses are designed to quickly impart the most important fields of business and create, on an undergraduate level, an informal dynamic business environment in which there is a highly beneficial interaction between faculty and participants.

These classes are coupled with industry visits and research papers that refer back to the business practice of the participants and which build an in-depth understanding of the concepts discussed.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted into the ABBA program, students must meet the following minimum requirements:

Applicants must be 25 years of age or older
Have a High School/Secondary School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
15 years of formal studies
At least five years business experience
TOEFL with 213 minimum score (computer based) if English is not the student’s first language
Interview with the Dean
The ABBA program can be considered as a stepping stone to the Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Course Calendar

Re: European University Course on Flex MBA

Flex MBA

Course objectives :
The Flex MBA program is developed in the form of seminars for middle and higher management that will permit them to refresh the basis of some core concepts and update their knowledge and understanding. The high level of flexibility permits the participants to complete their studies within 9 months should they decide to participate in all seminars, or follow the program “à la carte”, thus taking all seminars within a period of 2 years.

Participants typically have a minimum of five years work experience. The seminars are an effective meeting point between professionals to not only improve their academic skills, but to create a good networking tool. Formal examination is mostly in the form of projects that need to be submitted within a limited time frame after the seminar completion. Participants may also be asked for advance preparation designed for them by the professor.

Course description :
The seminars take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays or on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 09h:00 until 18h:00. Two seminars per month are offered, with students registering for each one independently. This program thus provides greater flexibility for the participants, permitting them to tailor-make their calendar over a period of two years. Students must pass all 15 subjects for a degree completion. Subject sequence may be required in some fields. The subjects taught are those of the MBA program.

Re: European University Course Executive MBA

Executive MBA

Course objectives :
The participants must have a minimum of five years work experience and hold middle or higher management positions in their respective fields. This targeted audience permits the creation of an informal dynamic business environment in which there is a continuous and highly beneficial interaction between faculty and participants, as all sides are actively involved in business.

These classes are coupled with industry studies and research papers that help build an in-depth understanding of the concepts discussed. Workload is distributed quite differently, taking into account the limited time of the participants.

Course description :
The Executive MBA programs take place on Saturdays only, starting at 09h:00 and continuing until 19h:00. Students follow three subjects per term (3 hours weekly per subject). The program consists of 5 terms full-time or 10 terms part-time, with a total duration of 15 to 30 months. The courses taught are those of the MBA program.
