Entrepreneurship Training Manager

VentureWell (formerly NCIIA) launches new life-changing ventures from an
emerging generation of young scientists driven to improve life for people and
the planet. This is a unique opportunity to work with these emerging
innovators – university students – at the crossroads of science and
technology entrepreneurship, teaching and venture funding!

Specific Responsibilities:

• Manages the design and delivery of early stage venture development
training programs.
• Serves as the point of contact for students in the program.
• Participates in the selection of program participants and provides
feedback to prospective applicants.
• Participates in the development and implementation of coaching
programs for participants to support business development.
• Serves as the point of contact with Communications, Research &
Evaluation and Operations for training and evaluation materials.
• Cultivates, trains and manages training consultants (including contract
management).
• Develops and implements the student exhibition and contest program for
VentureWell’s annual conference (Open).
Requirements:
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred; ideally degree/s in
relevant area of expertise such as Business, Science, Engineering, STEM,
Entrepreneurship, Marketing, etc.

Entrepreneurship Training Manager

Requirements:

Experience:
5-7 years related work experience, specifically:
• Providing Entrepreneurship training at the post-secondary level,
experience with Lean Launchpad methodology a plus;
• Experience with a business accelerator program or other entrepreneurial
experience (a startup founder or early hire);
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and evaluate student
entrepreneurs;
• Strong project management skills;
• A thorough understanding of the entrepreneurial eco-system, from
technology identification through venture capital;
• Track record of strong teaching, facilitation and training skills;
• Demonstrated excellence in project management and supervisory skills;
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and Social Media as well as project
management systems.
