ENTREPRENEURSHIP
INNOVATOR BADGE
Please read the criteria required carefully before submitting your application for a badge. The criteria
column is a detailed explanation of all requirements specific to each badge and level. When applying for
a badge, you are asked to provide various proof or evidence supporting your application. The number
depends on the badge and the level you are seeking. Please note; not all badges include specific
requirements. The way in which you provide proof that the set criterion has been met is at your
discretion unless otherwise stated under submission requirements. For example; if you complete a one
on one interview, you may choose to submit a video recording, summary, YouTube, blog etc. The rubric
is used to determine issuance of individual badges.

Requirements
Identify and interview an individual
who has started his or her own
business. Identify items such as: how
entrepreneur got the idea for the
business and how the entrepreneur
recognized it as a market
opportunity.

In a minimum of 200 words, describe
the leadership qualities you possess
and how they have helped you or will
help you succeed including five key
elements; creativity, originality, risk
taking, action/results orientation,
and persistence.

Conduct a feasibility study of your
business (briefly writing or explaining
each item):
•Identification of business
goals, described product or
service, and explanation of
how to meet goals and needs
with product or service
•Identification and
description of the potential
liability risks of product or
service and the type of
license required in order to
sell or make the product or
service.
•Determination of a target

Eligibility






To Apply
Eligibility is any student, who has planned to start, started; successfully
managed a business, contributed substantially to the turnaround or growth of
a business, or managed a larger business in a way that has demonstrated
notable entrepreneurial characteristics and achievements. Has demonstrated
Entrepreneurial spirit, including commitment, vision, calculated risk-taking and
capacity for personal growth.

Must clearly demonstrate all criteria outlined in each category to apply for
the Entrepreneurship Innovator Badge.
