Main activities and responsibilities As a member of the management team and the board of the agency which was directly subordinated
to government and was involved in working plans in several ministries (economy, labor, agriculture
and rural development, education, science and information society) I was also co-responsible
preparation of the agency’s yearly plans and was involved in the teams run by relevant ministries
which prepared strategies for SME development for two periods: 2000 – 2001 and 2002 – 2006, and
the strategy for development of competitiveness and entrepreneurship 2007 – 2013.
I was head of department of Supportive environment to SMEs. I was responsible for management and
development of the Voucher consulting scheme in Slovenia which was managed and distributed
through a network of 39 local business centers. I was leading the process of preparing the integral
documentation for co-financing the scheme from the European Regional Development Fund and
participated in the negotiations. The scheme included tender procedure, applications, approval
procedures, payments, reimbursement and control procedures. I coordinated the yearly budgeting
procedures including up to four different ministries and agencies which provided resources. I also
supervised programs run within agency in the filed of promotion of entrepreneurship, promotion of
entrepreneurial culture and internationalization. I also managed several EU-financed research and
demonstration projects.
