CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the joint OCRI & TMA Italia
conference in Bergamo. This is a conference for academics and practitioners to
share knowledge and experience on crisis and turnaround management.
Company crisis can be considered an exception in the firm’s life (managerial
view) or an efficient market exit factor (economic view); in both cases it has
received marginal attention. Global competition and the current economic
environment boost the probability of a company crisis. The current general
economic crisis has impacted companies of all size, industry and country.

Organized by: the Entrepreneurial Laboratory - University of Bergamo
Turnaround management and corporate restructuring are no longer rare situation
in the management of a company. How to prevent and avoid crisis and how to
manage a value creating turnaround process in the global economy are today
open and relevant research questions.
This conference aims at surveying various aspects of Crisis and Corporate
restructuring in an Economic and Managerial perspective.
Papers on all aspects of crisis or of restructuring are welcomed. Both theoretical or
empirical works which can develop single issues on a general or national level or
deal with a theoretical framework including crisis and corporate restructuring in
the broader theory of Corporate Change and renewal, will be considered. The
interdisciplinary nature of the subject also lends itself to the possibility of cross
referencing among different fields and disciplines starting from management,
finance and law.
