Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR) is a Fortune 500 company and a global manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances with its headquarters in Benton Charter Township, Michigan, United States, near Benton Harbor, Michigan.[2][3] The company has annual revenue of approximately $18.4 billion, more than 70,000 employees, and more than 70 manufacturing and technology research centers around the world. The company markets Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Gladiator Garage Works, Inglis, Estate, Brastemp, Bauknecht, Consul, and other major brand names to consumers in nearly every country around the world.
After acquiring the Maytag Corporation on March 31, 2006, Whirlpool Corporation passed Electrolux to become "the largest home appliance maker in the world."

Whirlpool will routinely review, update and expand its privacy protections as befits its broad support of consumer and employee status around the world.

Whirlpool Corporation information systems will be designed and maintained to provide maximum security from unauthorized access. Individuals using consumer or employee data will be trained in its appropriate use and will be routinely audited to ensure compliance with necessary standards of conduct.

Whirlpool Corporation will not share information with third parties unless that transfer of information is necessary for completion of required business operations and will, at all times, comply with relevant law and privacy regulations. Third parties acting on behalf of the Company will be required to comply with Whirlpool's privacy policy when acting on Whirlpool generated information.

Consumers and employees will have the opportunity to review information retained by the Company about them and how to notify us regarding errors that we will promptly correct.

Whirlpool Corporation will adopt reasonable and effective measures to ensure the protection of consumer and employee information. The Chief Privacy Officer will have full accountability to promulgate and enforce these protective activities.

The Chief Privacy Officer will oversee periodic audits of Company compliance with regional privacy policy and will report annually to the Chairman on compliance and necessary policy modifications.

Whirlpool Corporation has an obligation to maintain a covenant of trust with its consumers and employees.

TERMS OF USE

This Terms of Use governs the use and access of Whirlpool Corporation's information systems, including hardware, software, data, network, and telecommunication ("Systems").

These Systems are only for the Permitted Use by users authorized by Whirlpool ("Authorized Users"). By using these Systems an Authorized User expressly understands and agrees that: (i) Whirlpool may monitor and/or record the use of these Systems; (ii) any record or other evidence of potentially illegal activity may be provided to legal authorities; and (iii) there is no expectation of personal privacy.

Permitted Use is use that: (i) complies with all of Whirlpool Corporation's policies, including without limitation policies relating to security, confidentiality, intellectual property and privacy; (ii) complies with any applicable agreements or contracts; (iii) complies with all applicable laws and regulations; (iv) is intended for the benefit of Whirlpool; and (v) Whirlpool has expressly granted to the Authorized User.

Use that is not Permitted Use, includes, but is not limited to use of the System; (i) in violation of Whirlpool policies, (ii) in violation of applicable laws and regulations; (iii) for purposes other than for the intended benefit of Whirlpool; or (iv) that is detrimental to the operation of the Systems, including but not limited to the security and confidentiality features of the Systems.

There may be additional terms of use, privacy notices, confidentiality notices and other terms applicable to the use of specific parts of the System.

Determination of whether such use is a Permitted Use or not is at the sole discretion of Whirlpool, limited only to the degree restricted by applicable laws or regulations.
