Election or Selection??

Why don't we have selection process like that of civil services examinations for our leaders instead of election. don't we need efficient and qualified people to lead our country toward the development?

Even in tht case our politicans will try to buy the selection commitee to get a seat.

when they are able to do all sorts of malpractises in an election,they are capable f dng anyting in selection process.

Moreover,the election process is absolutely people's verdict where every citizen s having the right to vote.Itz one of the fundamental rights.

My suggesion is have the follow rule:
"All candidates contesting for a post in an election shud have a UG qualification."

Probably the above rule will help to remove sme weeds frm the current politics.

after looking at the selection process in cricket which is dominated with regional politics do u expect that the selection of politicians would be fair.
politicians corrupt everything.
thank god that there is no selection like it is in pakistan.

the election process which is takin place is much better than the selection process...
coz electing is been done by the people at large here people vote for whom they wish to be their leader...
if u see the selection process over there it would be such a situation that a group of people are selecting the individual of the member which they feel that would help them grow personally...

For me Election is anytime better than Selection in Politics...

When you become a most viewed writer , not just because of one .
Many people involved in the process of election . They elected you as the one by viewing your answer ...

When you become a Top writer in Quora , not because of many people recommended you , they have directly involved in your selection by giving more upvotes . ultimate authority is Quora who selected you as Top writer ..

Election ( Group of people will involve in the process )

Selection ( Only the authorized body will involve )

Politics have lot of politics. Whatever the process politics win

Let it be a small class leader recruitment or the post of the PM of a country, fair and just Election is the better option.
